ERRADA’s team have been honored to participate in the Environment and Development Forum 2022 “The Road to Sharm El-Sheikh”, which is organized by the Arab Water Council under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Cairo from 11 to 13 September 2022, which is a preparatory step to The #COP 27.
The Ministers of Electricity, Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, the General Secretary of the League of Arab States, the pioneer of the Egyptian Presidency of the Climate Conference, the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Egypt, and a group of experts, researchers, and local and international specialists participated in the opening conference, in order to highlight the effects and solutions of climate change on the environment and development including measures to adapt to climate change and mitigate its effects on many sectors.
During the forum, 8 main pillars were discussed in line with Egypt’s #Vision2030. All of them address the challenges of climate change on the agendas of most countries in the world, focusing on food and water security, clean and renewable energy, sustainable development, ways to preserve the environment, protection of biodiversity, and control of carbon dioxide emissions, as well as Sustainable transportation and cities.
